Most parents feel an instant ‘aha’ moment when they see how their child's brain is overactive in certain areas leading to symptoms like meltdowns, sensory overload or the ability to transition into different enviroments.

Aria came to us with a language delay. Her brain activity showed slowing in both parietal lobes, especially the left parietal lobe, an area involved in understanding language.
Based on the full picture, we felt it would be wrong to label her as autism at that time. Aria is still on our program and her language abilities is getting better session by session.

Ryan’s assessment was challenging due to sensory sensitivity and limited tolerance for the cap, so we worked patiently to record what we could. His results showed very low activity in areas tied to expressive and receptive speech, alongside over-arousal in central regions, which can align with intense sensory and emotional dysregulation. He is steadily improving, and his parents wish they started our program before.

Arbie arrived with a prior autism diagnosis and had already done intensive therapy. His results showed differences often seen in kids on the spectrum, especially in the parietal lobes (sensory processing, social-emotional function, and language).
He followed a consistent neurofeedback schedule (often at home), and over time the brain patterns we were tracking improved significantly. When we called to compare the data to real life, his mom’s word was: “Wonderful.”

Reese was not speaking yet, wasn’t sleeping through the night, and had a highly restrictive diet. Her profile suggested reduced function in language-related processing, alongside patterns linked to difficulty reaching calmer “rest” states.
After roughly 20 sessions, her parents reported meaningful wins: sleeping through the night, being less reactive, and more flexible with food. Speech progress can follow its own timeline, so we track changes with patience and realism.
Most traditional autism supports focus on managing behaviors and teaching coping strategies, sometimes alongside medication for related challenges.
Our approach focuses on helping the brain and nervous system practice regulation more naturally over time.
Many children with autism aren’t choosing to be overwhelmed, shut down, melt down, or “difficult.”
Their brain often struggles with sensory processing, transitions, and emotional regulation, especially in busy environments like school, stores, or noisy homes.
Our neurofeedback-based brain training helps children learn how to self-regulate brain activity over time, so they can access calmer, more flexible states more often.
Using gentle, real-time feedback, the brain practices more efficient patterns linked to calm, attention, smoother transitions, and faster recovery after overwhelm, without trying to change who your child is.
Better tolerance for noise, crowds, and sensory input.
Fewer overwhelm moments and faster recovery after meltdowns.
Easier transitions between tasks and activities
More flexibility with routines (home, school, bedtime)
Improved ability to stay calm and regulated in busy environments.
This isn’t about changing who your child is. It’s about giving their brain the tools it needs to function at its best.
…progress visualized
While not a magic pill for autism, our brain training offers parents and their child a promising path forward.

…happy patients, great reviews
Profoundly successful results for my teenage daughter! After many years of mis-diagnoses and loads of different medications, she is now med-free and capable of learning how to function in the real world. Her future was looking bleak, now we have so much hope! She was suffering from anxiety and depression and in a matter of 4 months, with Neurofeedback, it was all erased. It’s amazing to see the clarity in her eyes and smile on her face. Thank you Anthony for founding Gray Matters and for this amazing technology. I wish we had done this years ago.

Thank you Anthony Silver. You have opened my eyes to neurofeedback and brain mapping. My son has been diagnosed with severe ADHD/ADD, Anxiety and HFA. Drugs do not seem to be working. Neither Strattera or vyvanse and we have struggled for 13 years. GRAY matters is helping many children overcome obstacles they would have normally struggled with for a lifetime. THANK YOU for caring so much about my son Nolan. I truly appreciate all the time you gave me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I am very impressed with Anthony Silver's professionalism, efficiency and empathy. My young son has been receiving therapy here and we have seen overall improvements in speech, motor skills, and anxiety. Anthony Silver created an individualized plan based off of an extremely thorough evaluation. His staff are kind and patient, especially Alisa. We are relieved to have found Gray Matters, especially after having a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at a different office in Ridgefield.

I had a wonderful experience at Gray Matters. I received high-quality treatments from high-quality individuals. I would highly recommend Gray Matters to anyone who is looking to improve their life. While the phrase "improve your life" is vague, I used it to illustrate the versatility of neurofeedback and its subsequent benefits. I will soon begin my college career. I feel that the treatments I have received have put me in a position where I can succeed without reservation.

True miracle work is done here. Anthony has not only helped me take on a new approach to mental and physical health, but has helped me in more ways than any person or medical team ever has. I have tried numerous medications, seen 5 Neurologists, naturopaths, acupuncture, chiropractors, you name it. Gray Matters gave me a fundamental piece of information, that being WHY I lived with chronic pain, depression, Anxiety, and ADHD. I have had about 20 sessions (and continuing) and have had significant relief from migraines, about 70% less! Gray Matters has helped me in more ways than I could possibly describe. I highly recommend this group of wonderful people. After MANY years of searching for relief, I feel I have found it in neurofeedback. Thank you Anthony & everyone else that has helped me as a young female in college to live a life without pain and overwhelming anxiety.

I owe a debt of gratitude to Anthony Silver and the dedicated team at Gray Matters. As someone who has struggled with chronic illness, I have sought out many traditional and alternative treatments to alleviate mood symptoms and brain fog. Neurofeedback therapy has been among the most effective. My time at Gray Matters has been a transformative experience and one of the most essential steps on my journey to full recovery. Over the last few months, I’ve seen a meaningful reduction in catastrophic thinking and an increase in mental acuity. Neurofeedback requires persistence and patience. You will begin to notice changes after 10-15 sessions. QEEG Brain Mapping allows you to precisely target your areas of concern. If you stick with the protocol, the rewards are noticeable and lasting. I highly encourage you to contact them.
